Albums in a category
Public list of albums belonging to a selected category.
Albums in a category displays the selected category title and an album grid that adapts to the screen width. Each card contains a cover and album title and opens that album’s gallery.
Order and appearance
Albums appear in the order set within that category in the administrator area, with title and identifier used when ordering values are equal.
The global cover option selects one of these layouts:
- square 1:1, up to four cards per row;
- 3:2 ratio, up to three cards per row.
The layout adapts to available width. The chosen ratio crops the displayed thumbnail but does not modify the original.
Covers
An administrator selects the cover inside the album. A neutral placeholder is shown if no cover is set, the cover photo is trashed or its small variant is missing. The album can still be opened.
Which albums are visible?
The view only displays albums that:
- are published;
- are assigned directly to the selected category;
- have an access level available to the visitor.
The selected category and every parent category must also be published and available. Albums from subcategories and albums with No category are not included.
When no album meets these conditions, LENA reports that the category contains no published albums.
Content not displayed
The standard LENA 1.0 view does not display the category description, album description, photo count or cover description. A card only contains the album title and its image or placeholder.
Page title and structured data
LENA sets the document title to the category title. It also adds CollectionPage Schema.org structured data containing an ordered list of visible albums. When an album has an available cover, its URL may be included in that data. This does not replace meaningful titles, appropriate access settings or supporting page content in the site template.
